A fabulous night out at the Plinston as Limehouse, celebrating the music of the late great Phil Lynott and his band, treat us to 22 Lizzy classics live. Drummer Andy Fox drives the band on apace through a dazzling homage to the legendary Irish rockers. The sound of twin lead guitars, played exquisitely by Greg Alcock and Tim Read, light up such standards as ‘Do Anything You Wanna Do’ and ‘Don’t Believe a Word’. Out in front, the excellent Wayne Ellis, Manchester’s finest, an accomplished singer and thoroughly convincing as our man from West Brom, later Crumlin, Dublin. Joking with the crowd all night, he shuffles the songs, his signature, mirror-guarded Fender bass reflecting the light back into the packed venue. Lynott would have been sixty, this August. Touring relentlessly, may Limehouse keep the flame of his music alive for years to come!
