Plinston Players is a self-funding drama club for young people over eight, staffed by volunteers, now in its 14th year (2009). Their aim is to give young people the chance to experience all aspects of the performing arts, primarily through participation in stage productions but also through workshops and visiting specialists.
Putting on one major musical show each year, written in-house to give each young person a suitable character and lines, giving them to take an active part in the show. All the Players work hard, particularly during rehearsals and productions, with encouragement to work as a team; to make new friends; to gain confidence and to enjoy themselves.
They meet most Saturdays, during term time, from 3pm to 5pm.
